Australian Counselling Association

The ACA is Australia's largest single registration body for counsellors and psychotherapists with over 3,000 members. The ACA was established over ten years ago and has since that time provided the counselling profession with a voice and political representation. Our primary goal is to register counsellors and psychotherapists in Australia through a vigorous process of credentialing, and to give counsellors a professional standing based on competence and skill and to provide a mechanism of accountability to the mental health consumer. ACA's other primary role is provide representation and advocacy on behalf of its members and the profession, in the interests of our clients.
